Professional Lithium Battery Service in Winter Garden, FL

The lithium-ion battery pack is the heart of any electric scooter, e-bike, or micromobility device. It stores the energy that powers the motor, controller, display, and lighting. When the battery degrades, fails, or is damaged, the entire device stops working — or worse, becomes a safety hazard. Scooter Repair in Winter Garden, FL, provides professional lithium battery diagnostics, replacement, and safe handling for riders across Greater Orlando.

Our technicians understand lithium-ion battery architecture at the cell level. We know how 18650 and 21700 cells are configured into series and parallel banks, how the BMS (Battery Management System) monitors and balances each cell bank, how charge and discharge MOSFETs control current flow, and how thermal sensors protect the pack from overheating. This deep understanding allows us to diagnose battery problems accurately — rather than simply guessing that the battery is bad and selling you a replacement. We service batteries for electric scooters, e-bikes, mobility scooters, electric skateboards and OneWheels, and other micromobility devices at our Winter Garden shop.

We service lithium battery packs for electric scooters, e-bikes, mobility scooters, electric mopeds, electric skateboards, OneWheels, and other micromobility devices. Common Battery Symptoms We Diagnose

If your e-scooter, e-bike, or micromobility device is experiencing any of the following battery-related symptoms, bring it to our Winter Garden shop for a professional evaluation.

Battery will not charge or takes unusually long to charge
Range has dropped significantly compared to when the battery was new
Scooter or e-bike shuts down under load or on inclines
Battery voltage sag under load (indicates degraded cells)
BMS error or battery communication fault
Charging port damaged, loose, or not making reliable connection
Charger output failure — charger LED behavior abnormal
Battery pack is swollen, hot, or showing physical damage
Battery percentage indicator jumps or is inaccurate
Device works on external power but not on battery alone
Corroded battery terminals or connector pins
Battery has been exposed to water or impact damage

    Our Battery Diagnostic Process

A lithium battery is not a single component — it is a system of individual cells, a BMS, connectors, and a charging circuit. When your device will not charge, loses range, or shuts down under load, the problem could be in any of these components. Our systematic diagnostic process tests each one to identify the root cause.

Step 1: Resting Voltage Test. We measure the battery's resting voltage (the voltage when no load is applied) and compare it to the expected nominal voltage for your device's system (36V, 48V, 52V, 60V, or 72V). A resting voltage significantly below nominal indicates a discharged or degraded pack.

Step 2: Load Test. We apply a controlled load to the battery and measure voltage sag — the drop in voltage when current is drawn. Excessive voltage sag indicates degraded cells, an imbalanced pack, or a failing BMS. A healthy pack should maintain voltage within an acceptable range under load.

Step 3: BMS Diagnostics. The BMS monitors each cell bank's voltage, controls charge and discharge current through MOSFETs, and protects the pack from overcharge, over-discharge, and overheating. We test BMS operation by checking MOSFET gate signals, balance lead voltages, and thermal sensor readings. A BMS that has tripped or failed can prevent the battery from charging or discharging even when the cells are healthy.

Step 4: Charging System Test. If the battery itself is healthy, we shift focus to the charging system. We test the charger's output voltage and amperage, verify its cutoff behavior (when it stops charging), and inspect the charging port for bent pins, corroded contacts, or cold solder joints. A faulty charger or damaged port can prevent a healthy battery from charging.

Battery Safety Warning:If your e-scooter or e-bike battery is swollen, unusually hot, leaking, smoking, hissing, or has a strong chemical odor, stop using and charging the device immediately. Move away from the hazard if it is safe to do so, and contact local emergency services (call 911) if there is an immediate fire risk. Never attempt to puncture, force open, or solder directly to damaged lithium cells. Never charge a damaged or swollen battery. Bring the device to our Winter Garden shop for professional evaluation once the immediate hazard is addressed.

    Battery Replacement & Compatible Packs

When a battery needs replacement, we source compatible packs matched to your device's voltage, motor wattage, controller specifications, and physical dimensions. E-scooter and e-bike batteries are not universal — a 36V pack for a Xiaomi M365 will not work in a 48V Kaabo Mantis, and a 52V e-bike battery has different connectors and BMS requirements than a 60V electric moped battery.

We work with replacement packs in 36V, 48V, 52V, 60V, and 72V configurations, using cells from reputable manufacturers. We verify that the replacement pack's nominal voltage, capacity (Ah), continuous discharge rate (A), and connector type match your device's requirements before installation. We also verify that the BMS in the replacement pack is compatible with your device's controller and charger.

For devices with proprietary battery designs (such as Segway Ninebot internal batteries or Bosch e-bike systems), we evaluate whether OEM replacement, aftermarket compatible, or upgrade options are available. We explain the options honestly and recommend the best path forward based on availability, compatibility, and value.
